ShopRite of Mt. Kisco

This week marks one month since ShopRite of Mount Kisco opened its doors, and it's doing record-breaking business. Replacing the nearby store in Bedford Hills was a smooth transition, according to Steve Savas, president of ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. (SRS), which operates ShopRite stores across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania: "Our customers will find a bigger store, new amenities, and an elevated shopping experience ...With expanded fresh departments and a focus on sustainable design."

The 74,000-square-foot ShopRite on North Bedford Road was designed by Off The Wall Co. which also fabricated and installed all of the decor.

This dramatically conceived supermarket features expanded services such as chef-prepared meals to go, smart shopping carts, and a wide variety of fresh foods and departments.

The Fresh to Table section of the store offers chef-prepared entrees, delicious take-and-bake dishes, freshly made sushi, side dishes, and pre-cut fruits and vegetables in various grab-and-go formats.

The bakery has cakes crafted by award-winning cake decorators as well as fresh breads baked on the premises. Textured tin ceilings and suspended copper lamps add warmth and a touch of nostalgia to some of the food prep departments.

Skilled butchers are available to custom-cut the freshest meats for customers. The value-engineered faux red brick facade sets off the sign and white dimensional lettering; frozen meats is set apart with similar signage on a corrugated metal backing.

The beautifully appointed seafood department is the centerpiece of the store and presents daily fresh-catch deliveries.

Customers can choose between regular shopping carts and Caper Carts – smart shopping carts powered by Instacart technology that allows customers to scan items as they shop. Even the kids get their own shopping carts.

Off The Wall is proud of the collaboration and decades long relationship with ShopRite and looks forward to various upcoming projects together.
