Off The Wall recently completed the décor fabrication and installation for Uncle Giuseppe's newest North Babylon, Long Island, New York location.
The independent grocer is known for its high-quality, Italian-themed specialties and food offerings. It now has seven stores on Long Island, plus one in upstate New York and one in New Jersey.
The ceiling, columns, and entablature are hand-painted by scenic artists and serve as a centerpiece surrounding the store's produce section.
Uncle Giuseppe's is notable for its spacious sightlines and unique old-world design. The North Babylon location features a full-service deli offering authentic homestyle dishes; an in-house bakery with specialty cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts; a custom-cut meat department staffed by in-house butchers; a selection of fresh and organic produce; a complete seafood department; a gourmet cheese department displaying selections from around the world; and viewing rooms where, through protective glass partitions, customers can watch pasta and mozzarella made fresh daily.
Departments such as these offer unique opportunities to create the type of decor for which Off The Wall is well known in the retail design business.
The Cucina hood over the grill is a copper-clad structure trimmed with black applied reveals.
These suspended stainless steel display arches were welded, polished, and installed by Off The Wall.
Off The Wall was also responsible for Uncle Giuseppe's standard and custom millwork package, including the Granite tops.
